A-Light Luminaires Included in IES Progress Report 2022
Oceanside, CA, August 19, 2022 – A-Light (www.alights.com), an established best-in-class manufacturer of specification-grade interior lighting solutions, is pleased to announce its Absorb I and Relay luminaires have been selected for inclusion in the 2022 IES Progress Report, an annual publication recognizing significant contributions to the global lighting industry.
Published by the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES), a collegial community dedicated to improving the lighting environment, the IES Progress Committee's mission is to track significant new advancements in the art and science of lighting worldwide and prepare a yearly report of achievements for the Society. Acceptance in the Progress Report is based on an impartial judging process by the Committee, which evaluates each submission on its uniqueness, innovation, and significance to the lighting industry.
Absorb I is a suspended luminaire with vertical acoustic panels that feature a flanged profile design. Available in two- and four-foot lengths, fixtures can be combined with a discreet joiner system hidden within the luminaire's felt for seamless designs. Continuous runs, squares, or rectangles can be created using 90 or 180-degree angle joiners. Designers can choose various light distributions to achieve the desired direct or indirect illumination.
Relay is a linear pendant system featuring curved and softened design elements that can be configured into diverse geometric patterns with a seamlessly lit shape. Designers can experiment with corner options of 90 and 120-degree angles to create entirely new forms. Relay’s direct lighting offers reduced glare and continuous illumination throughout the fixture, including corners. Indirect lighting features high-performance TIR optics for more controlled and efficient light.
This year’s Report, along with live demonstrations, will be presented during this month’s IES Annual Conference in New Orleans.
