A-Light Wins Three LIT Design Awards™

Date: 15 December 2023 Category: Media

Oceanside, CA, December 15, 2023 – A-Light (www.alights.com), an established best-in-class manufacturer of specification-grade lighting solutions, is pleased to announce its Lino linear luminaire, and Stitch and Wings sustainable luminaires, have all received LIT Design Awards™.

LIT Design Awards was created to recognize the efforts of talented international lighting product designers and lighting implementers. All entries are evaluated by an esteemed grand jury panel of experienced and prominent academics, professionals, press members, entrepreneurs, and key people from the lighting design industry. Stitch and Wings were both recognized in the Pendant Lighting category, while Lino was a winner in the Outdoor Wall Lighting category.

Available in 2.16” and 3” apertures, Lino’s small profile housing and no visible hardware ensure that the fixture subtly integrates into a variety of interior and exterior environments. With an IP66 rating, Lino luminaires are particularly well-suited for outdoor applications with harsher weather conditions such as rain, snow, sand, or excessive dirt or dust. Suspended mountings include catenary or pendant stem. Ceiling, channel, wall, or mullion block can be selected for surface mountings. Direct illumination is available with batwing, flat blade louver, HE Tech™, wall grazer or wall distribution types; designers may choose indirect illumination for the mullion block mounting option.

Stitch is a new sustainable approach to lighting for collaborative work environments. The vertical illumination of the diffusing surface promotes better rendering of faces rather than work planes. The recyclable and compact non-woven polypropylene shade transmits over 4300 lumens of light efficiently, while providing a glare-free soft glow and relaxed aesthetic to fit contemporary wellness-oriented environments.

Wings is a re-think of linear direct/indirect luminaires, focusing on sustainability and functionality. Its soft angular body is created with sewn recyclable material. On the topside is a reflective polyethylene film reflector that has a hole pattern allowing about 50% of the light to exit in a wide throw pattern, delivering exceptional ceiling uniformity. The remaining light is reflected towards a flexible polypropylene diffuser to produce fully diffused and glare-free direct illumination.

Sustainability and a reduced carbon footprint are at the forefront of the Stitch and Wings designs.
